ABB to set up E-vehicle charging facilities in India

And Yes! Another step towards better sustainability rate in terms of fuel consumption. We are living in a time when inventional in electric vehicles are happening every time. And the developments are at its full swing.

With companies already trying mechanics to unveil their e-vehicles as soon as possible, government implementing policies for its developments and other companies aiding the wave by the wave of innovations, world electrification is not far from us.

ABB, a swiss company, has looked into it as an opportunity and has announced that it will be manufacturing EV chargers in the country. The project is likely to be operational by the end of this year.

According to the company, a country which is a market to about 1.2 billion people, reaching all of them is possible only if the Ev chargers are produced locally. This is also an important step to aid the EV infrastructure in the country which aims to get 100% electric vehicles by the year 2022.

The company is waiting for a more clear step by the government of the country on EV industry and the policies.

The company concerns that if the E-vehicles remain high priced, despite the prices of lithium-ion batteries going down, and the government not incentivising the vehicles, EV adoption in the country could be difficult.
