Volvo India will assemble all its vehicles in India starting next year, in line with the government’s ‘Make-in-India’ initiative to expand its presence in the luxury car market in the country.

New Delhi: Mahindra has launched new Thar SUV, in a petrol engine with automatic transmission. Thar which is equally popular in urban areas as a weekend off-roader comes with a plethora of exterior and interior changes compared to the predecessor.

New Thar is BS6. The new Mahindra Thar comes with a completely revised front fascia, with a new grille, which doesn't carry the predecessor's vertically slated styling.

Preferred choice of Indian car buyers Alto crosses 40 lakh sales

New Delhi: Maruti has announced on Thursday that its Alto has achieved a record of becoming the only car in India to clock 40 lakh cumulative sales. Most of the first time car buyers (76%) choose alto as the first choice.

Launched in the year 2000, Maruti Suzuki claims that its brand Alto has sustained its position as the undisputed leader in the Indian car market for 16 consecutive years.

Ford freestyle top end variant launched, starts at Rs 7.69 lakh

New Delhi: Top-end variant of Ford freestyle has been launched on Wednesday, at introductory prices of Rs 7.69 lakh and Rs 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom) just before the beginning of the festive season. The new introduction, Freestyle Flair, is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre engine with a peak power of 96 PS and is priced at Rs 7.69 lakh.

Kia Sonet unveiled, inspired by a baby elephant

New Delhi: Kia Motors India has unveiled its compact SUV Sonet in an online event yesterday. 

The Kia Sonet will be offered with 3 engine options of 1.2-liter petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-liter turbo diesel. These engines can either be coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission or the 6-speed DCT or the all-new 6-speed iMT gearbox.

Fortuner TRD limited edition launched, priced starts at Rs 34.98 lakh

New Delhi: Toyota India on Thursday has launched a limited edition Fortuner TRD, at a starting price of Rs 34.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

The automaker claims that this limited edition version of Fortuner SUV will be available in both 4x2 and 4x4 automatic transmission (diesel) variants. The 4x2 AT diesel variant is priced at Rs 34.98 lakh, and the 4x4 AT diesel is priced at Rs 36.88 lakh, the company said.

New Delhi: FCA on Thursday introduced the global limited edition, at a starting price of Rs 20.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Compass SUV is being offered in a classy ‘Black’ theme and is based on the newly-introduced variant Longitude Plus, which will continue as a regular variant in the Compass range after the Night Eagle completes its market cycle.
