Skoda plans 4th-gen Fabia, premiere in May

NEW DELHI: Skoda India on Thursday released the first official design sketches of fourth-generation Fabia, which is set to make its debut in May.

Fabia, the second-most sold Skoda hatchback globally, couldn’t taste success in India between 2008 and 2013. Skoda claims the refreshed Fabia will be significantly larger, more dynamic and more expressive than its successful predecessors.

F-Pace opens booking in India; delivery to begin in May

New Delhi: JLR India on Tuesday announced that bookings are open for the new F-Pace in India.

According to a company release, the new Jaguar F-Pace will be offered in India in R-Dynamic S trim in both petrol and diesel powertrains and deliveries will begin in May 2021.

Equipped with the latest generation Pivi Pro infotainment, F-Pace is powered by in-line four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines.

JLR India to launch 10 models in 12 months

 

JLR India plans to launch 10 models in India in FY22, including electrified vehicles, with an eye on registering a double-digit growth after a year of low sales due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company on Tuesday launched its first electric car in India, the I-Pace at a price of Rs 1.06 crore. The company is looking to gauge the Indian electric vehicles (EV)market ahead of Jaguar becoming a pure EV brand by 2025.

Hyundai plans to unveil Alcazar on April 7

 

NEW DELHI: Hyundai India on Tuesday teased the interior sketches of the upcoming 7-seater SUV Alcazar.

Alcazar, which means a castle in Spanish, will make its global debut on April 7 and the launch is expected to be somewhere around June 2021. Alcazar will be positioned between Creta and Tucson in Hyundai's Indian portfolio.

New Car Scrap Policy

New Delhi: Union Minister for Transport on Thursday, announced the long-awaited vehicle scrappage policy in the Lok Sabha. According to the minister, rules for fitness tests and scrapping centres are to be applicable from October 1, 2021. But the scrapping of government and PSU vehicles which are older than 15 years are to come into effect from April 1, 2022.

Audi plans to launch S5 Sportback in March 2021

NEW DELHI: Audi has confirmed that the S5 Sportback will enter the Indian market on March 22. The S5 Sportsback will be positioned above the A5 and below the RS5 in the Indian portfolio.

Audi S5 Sportback is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the sedan will take on the likes of BMW M340i, Mercedes-AMG C 43 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC 43 AMG.
